SkinPen® Precision is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device. Treatments stimulate your own collagen and elastin for visible improvements in tone, texture, and firmness.

SkinPen® is a medical-grade microneedling device that creates very small, controlled channels in the skin. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing response, stimulating new collagen and elastin to improve skin texture, firmness, scarring, and tone.
Cosmetic acupuncture and SkinPen® both stimulate collagen, but they work through different mechanisms. Cosmetic acupuncture is gentler, with no downtime. SkinPen® creates a stronger collagen response and is more targeted at scarring and texture, with a short period of redness afterward. Many patients use both as part of a longer-term skin plan.
SkinPen® is well suited for surface skin concerns and can be used on the face, neck, and select areas of the body:
Sessions are comfortable thanks to topical numbing and brief. Most patients return to normal activities the next day.
We screen for active acne flares, certain skin infections, rosacea flares, pregnancy, and medications like isotretinoin. SkinPen® is not safe in these situations.
A numbing cream is applied for 20 to 30 minutes before treatment to make the procedure comfortable.
The device is moved across the treatment area in small, controlled passes. Most patients describe it as a light, prickly sensation rather than pain.
Skin is typically pink for 24 to 48 hours. A series of three to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart is typical for visible results.

Our practitioners are California-licensed acupuncturists trained in aesthetic protocols, not technicians.
Many patients build a series that alternates SkinPen® with cosmetic acupuncture for both texture and tone improvements.
