Founding Acupuncturist · Mentor
Founding acupuncturist and mentor of AKARA Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, whose decades of clinical practice shaped the way we care for patients today.
About
Joelle Dussuyer is AKARA's founding acupuncturist and mentor. Over decades of clinical practice, she treated thousands of patients and developed the clinical philosophy that AKARA carries forward: thorough diagnosis, individualized treatment, and medicine practiced with patience and genuine attention.
Now retired from clinical practice, Joelle remains the practice's mentor. Her influence shows up in how our practitioners take a pulse, structure an intake, and think through a difficult case. The standard she set is the standard we keep.
Every clinic has a lineage, whether it acknowledges one or not. Ours begins with Joelle, and we are proud that it does.
